Phototherapy occurs naturally all around us and is based on the principle that our cells absorb light and use it fuel natural rejuvenation and repair processes. Different wavelengths stimulate different effects in the skin. We know that on-going exposure to UV light is very damaging but controlled levels of Red, Blue and Near Infrared light are clinically proven to be beneficial.

A celebrity skin care favourite, LED Phototherapy is the application of these beneficial wavelengths into the skin's deepest layers to energise our cells with proven rejuvenating results. It is a natural response similar to that of plant photo-synthesis through a process known as photobiomodulation. Dermalux® Tri-Wave Therapy

The Dermalux Tri-Wave MD is a ground-breaking medical device powered by proprietary LED technology for the most advanced phototherapeutic and photodynamic treatments in the global medical aesthetic market.

The futuristic free-standing design enables treatment for the face and the body within one device. The articulated LED panel is easily adjustable for both focused intensity treatments and larger body areas.

The Tri-Wave MD delivers clinically evidenced Blue 415nm, Red 633nm and Near Infrared 830nm wavelengths at an amplified optical power for effective photo biomodulation of targeted cells with proven results. The proprietary LED technology enables individual, concurrent and sequential wavelength treatments to promote maximum cell activation.

Operated by a full colour capacitive touch screen the system offers a range of new and advanced medical protocols including Photodynamic Therapy (PDT). Skin specific pre-set and post treatment protocols can be customised with three power output settings. Bespoke protocols can be programmed based on delivered joules or time.

What is the difference between Dermalux Tri-Wave and Dermalux Flex?

The Tri-Wave is 5 times more powerful than the Flex. More power means faster results and shorter treatment times.

Will Dermalux LED give me a tan?

No. LED Phototherapy does not contain the harmful UV rays that stimulate the melanin in the skin to produce a ‘sun tan’ effect. However, LED’s stimulate hydration and blood circulation and will instantly give your skin a healthy and radiant glow

Benefits:

Contraindications:

LED is safe, non-thermal, nontoxic and non-invasive, and to date no side effects have been reported in published literature. In the 20 years that LED has been used in the medical and beauty industry, there have been no reported incidents of adverse reactions or damage caused by LED therapy.

There are few contraindications to LED phototherapy but we recommend that clients who present with any of the following conditions SHOULD NOT undergo Dermalux® treatment:

Epilepsy or Seizures triggered by light
Metabolic disorders such as Porphyria
Autoimmune disorders such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
Photosensitive disorders such as Photosensitve Eczema
Hypomelanism (Albanism)
Active Cancers
Use of Photosensitive Medication

For the most effective, quickest results, we recommend a combined therapy to target multiple areas in one session. Prior to the treatment we will advise you on the best course for your individual needs.

With LED Phototherapy the results are cumulative and an intensive 8 week programme of 12 treatments is highly recommended for a dramatic improvement in the appearance and health of the skin. Results can last up to 12 weeks following our plan and booster treatments are advised to maintain results,
